This past summer, I had the privilege of interning at specifically at the Forbes-recommended restaurant, Primo. This experience was invaluable in deepening my understanding of restaurant operations and expanding my knowledge of the food and beverage industry.During my time at Primo, I had the opportunity to work as a host/ambassador, where I managed reservations through OpenTable, assigned tables, and occasionally assisted in bussing tables. With 170 to 300 covers daily, I gained firsthand experience in handling the demands of a high-volume restaurant while adhering to the highest standards.I am incredibly grateful to my managers, Tricia Tessora and Camila Viera for their guidance and support throughout this internship, and to Alexa Nelson for always being there to help. Moving to Orlando alone was challenging, but the warm and welcoming team at Primo made it an unforgettable experience. I’m proud of the relationships I built and the skills I developed in such a dynamic environment.I believe Primo is the perfect place to gain experience from the best in the industry, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a dedicated team. Good luck to the future interns in this program and to the entire Primo team!

I Spent the past weekend in Washington, D.C. with the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International club! We had the opportunity to explore some of the city's hotels, including Normandy, Rosewood, Hotel Hive, and the River Inn. One of the highlights was connecting with Penn State alumni during our tours. Interacting with experienced students and industry professionals deepened my understanding of the field and was truly eye-opening. Big thanks to HSMAI for this incredible experience!
